Common Alerting Protocol (CAP)
Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) is a standardized digital format devised for emergency alerts to be dispersed over various types of communication systems at the same time. When an emergency occurs, a system utilizing the common alerting protocol will be able to effectively increase the amount of recipients that receive the critical alert message – delivering a message using various methods of communication increases deliverability.
DialMyCalls can be classified as using CAP due to our capability of sending out an alert message over three different communication platforms, voice message, SMS text message and email, at the same time. An emergency notification can be sent out over all three platforms from any computer with internet access at which point in time the recipients will immediately begin to receive the message.
